Authorities say they’ve found a body near the home of a missing girl in Bullhead City in northwest Arizona.

Police were called to the home of Isabella "Bella" Grogan-Cannella early Tuesday when the girl's family couldn't find her in the house.

Police Chief Brian Williamson said the investigation has taken a new turn.

“At around noon Wednesday, a tracking unit with the Mohave County Search and Rescue came across a suspicious area near Chaparral and Newberry Drive which is close to Bella’s residence. According to the FBI Forensics Team, on the scene there has been a body located in that area,” Williamson said.

Williamson said an autopsy will be performed and identification should be determined in the next few days.

The case is very similar that of a missing Tucson girl, eight-year-old Isabel Celis, who disappeared from her home two years ago and hasn’t been found.
