ASU Searches For Funding For Deferred Maintenance

Arizona’s three public universities have more than half a billion dollars in deferred maintenance combined, nearly half of that is at ASU. Bruce Jensen is the Executive Director for Capital Programs at ASU, which means he’s in charge of construction, and works with facilities management and maintenance.

The state does have a formula, that’s supposed to generate about $100 million for the universities for projects like these. But, Arizona Board of Regents President Eileen Klein says that formula hasn’t been fully funded, which leads the schools to look elsewhere for money.
