Phoenix Recovery Centers Open For Residents Affected By Floods

Phoenix opened two recovery information centers Monday morning to help people affected by Monday’s record-breaking rainfall and floods. The city is calling the centers a one-stop-shop where volunteers and city employees will help residents assess damage and get them assistance. Greg Roybal is with the city. He said people who come should bring as much information as possible.

"Certainly picture ID for the adult, the homeowners, and all the adults in the household if that’s available; or social security cards or their proof of legal status, such as birth certificate or passports or their permanent residence green cards; any statements showing their ownership, or their property ownership, such as the mortgage statement or the deed," Roybal said.

Roybal also said it’s helpful if people bring home owners insurance information, as well as photos showing damages. The centers are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Sunday. There is also a virtual center where people can call in or email questions or concerns.
