Enterovirus D68 has officially been confirmed in 12 states, and Arizona has sent samples to the Centers for Disease Control to find out whether it’s here as well.
The respiratory illness that develops from the virus is primarily affecting teens and younger kids. Dr. Rebecca Sunenshine is the Medical Director for the Maricopa County Health Department’s Disease Control Division.
