Phoenix is one of the most expensive places to overdraw your account and get money from an out-of-network ATM. That's according to a new survey released by Bankrate.com
Withdrawing money from an out-of-network ATM in Phoenix is going to cost the average customer $4.96. That’s the highest rate in the country. The national average is $4.35.
These ATM fees are made up of the charge from customer’s bank and the out-of-network financial institution.
This is the 8th straight year banking customers nationwide have seen an increase in ATM fees. Overdraft fees are also up. Right now, Philadelphia is the most expensive city to overdraw your account. The city of Phoenix is the 3rd highest.
