Early Voting Ballots Mailed For November Election

Early ballots started going in the mail Thursday ahead of the Nov. 4 election. Voters on the permanent early voting list and those who requested early ballots will be able to cast their votes in the next month.

Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell said there has been a significant increase in the number of early ballot requests.

"People that were on the permanent early voting list was 1,004,062, and the people that we have on the permanent early voting list right now is 1,244,212, so we’ve come up about 200,000," Purcell said.

On top of that, about 100,000 voters requested an early ballot, but did not sign up to be on the permanent early voting list.
