Gas prices continue to decline in Arizona. They’re down more than four cents a gallon over the last week, according to AAA Arizona.
Spokeswoman Valerie Vineyard said crude oil prices fell below $90 a barrel last week, for the first time since 1983. Demand is lower and the weather in the Eastern U.S. has helped keep prices low.
“The Atlantic hurricane season is turning out to be the quietest one since 1983. There’s only been six named hurricanes so far and that obviously is also helping not affecting pump prices,” Vineyard said
But, Vineyard noted the hurricane season is not yet over. The East Valley has the state’s lowest prices at $3.22 a gallon, while Flagstaff has the highest average prices at $3.48.
