Federal Judge Dismisses Violence Charge Against Shoe Thrower

A federal judge has dismissed a misdemeanor violence charge against the Phoenix woman accused of throwing a shoe at Hillary Clinton at an April metal recycling conference in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports there will be a hearing Thursday to temporarily release 36-year-old Alison Michelle Ernst from custody.

She will still be sentenced for a trespassing charge she pleaded guilty to.
