Gas prices have hit a ten-month low in Arizona.
A handful of states have even reported the statewide average price is under $3 a gallon. In Arizona, it’s not there yet. AAA says the average across the state is about $3.15 per gallon.
A weak global demand for gas and the highest U-S output of oil in nearly 30 years have been fueling the steep declines. The statewide average price in Arizona has dropped 21 cents in the last month.
The East Valley communities of Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Apache Junction and Queen Creek, continue to have the lowest average gas prices at $3.02 per gallon. That’s down almost 26 cents over the last month.
Flagstaff drivers are still paying the most, at $3.44 per gallon, but that’s still down 18 cents from September.
