Arizona gas prices, on average, are the lowest they’ve been in more than three years. AAA Arizona spokeswoman Linda Gorman says it has dropped below the $3 per gallon mark after falling 7 cents in the past week.
“Pump prices continue to fall. Arizona has now joined 20 other states in averaging prices under $3 a gallon,” Gorman said.
Gorman says the trend is likely to continue because of the low price of crude oil, which fell to under $80 per barrel for a time this week.
Flagstaff has the state’s highest average prices at $3.28, while the cheapest gas is in the East Valley, at an average $2.84 per gallon
