Court Case To Determine Whether State Owes School Districts For Shorted Funds

The sides in Arizona’s school funding case have been making their cases in court this week.

A state judge already ruled the state illegally shorted schools when it didn’t cover inflation costs, as required by a voter-approved measure.

At issue now is whether the state also owes districts back pay for that time. Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services has been covering the case.
