Information Technology Agreement May Boost Manufacturing In Arizona

The U.S. and China this week agreed to get rid of tariffs on many high-tech products, including GPS systems and medical devices.

It’s called the Information Technology Agreement, and it had been held up over concerns from China over products that would be excluded from the deal.

It still needs approval from the World Trade Organization, but Arnold Maltz with the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU said it should be a boon to manufacturing in Arizona.
