Phoenix and the phrase "car culture" have gone hand in glove compartment for many years. But efforts to modify that picked up steam this week as the City Council adopted a comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan.
Kerry Wilcoxson, Phoenix Traffic Engineer, said biking enthusiasts wanted four things from the new plan and Mayor Greg Stanton believes the plan is part of Phoenix moving into the future.
Ray Dovalina is the city’s Street Transportation Director. He said opportunities for bike riding are growing.
