Arizona gas prices continued to decline in the last week, with the statewide average price dropping 6 cents a gallon, to $2.78.
Valerie Vineyard of AAA Arizona attributes most of the decline to crude oil prices. But she warns an OPEC meeting on Thanksgiving Day could cut the price drop short.
“They could decide to maybe cut supplies or do other things to affect prices but for now, Arizona is going to be able to have the cheapest seasonal prices since 2009,” Vineyard said.
Flagstaff drivers continue to pay the highest prices at an average $3.07, while drivers in Peoria pay the least at an average $2.65 a gallon, down 9 cents in the last week.
