Tucson Casino Cancels Bill Cosby Appearance

Tucson’s Desert Diamond Casino is joining the list of institutions that are canceling appearances by comedian Bill Cosby.

Cosby was scheduled to appear at the casino in mid-February, but the appearance is now off.

Numerous allegations of past sexual abuse by Cosby over the last week have led to the cancellation of several interviews, as well as NBC and Netflix projects.

“The Cosby Show” which ran on NBC from the mid-'80s to the early '90s has been pulled off the air by TV Land.

Cosby issued a statement discrediting the decades-old accusations.

In an interview last weekend with NPR, Cosby chose not to answer questions about the sexual allegations, greeting the questions with silence.

Cosby, who is scheduled to do three-dozen shows between now and May of next year, appeared at a benefit for a women’s service group Thursday night in the Bahamas.

Dennis Lambert was a morning host at KJZZ.
