Hugo Medina ponders the concept of home.

What is home? That question is at the heart of an art exhibit at monOrchid gallery in downtown Phoenix.

Artist Hugo Medina does a lot of murals and says he often looks down on the city while working.

So he decided to try something different. He painted some landscapes while thinking about the idea of home and how his adopted home has changed over the time he’s lived here.

Mark Brodie spoke with Medina, and asked him about his Valley anniversary.

Medina's exhibit, called “Home” will be on display through Nov. 28 at monOrchid in downtown Phoenix.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
