Phoenix is no longer in the running for the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Along with Phoenix, Birmingham, Ala. was also eliminated this round.

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz tweeted that the three cities left are Columbus, Ohio, New York City and Philadelphia.

In 2012, the convention in Charlotte brought a total of 35,000 people.
