Tempe is looking to add to its transit system. Valley Metro has recommended a three mile route for a modern streetcar.
The agency held a public meeting Monday to get input on the route and where the stops should be, among other things.
We spoke about the project with Tempe City Councilmember Shana Ellis and Eric Iwerson, a project manager with Tempe working on the streetcar project.
Ellis is also on Valley Metro’s Board of Directors and the Valley Metro Rail Board of Directors.
