Rain continues to fall in the Valley today. So far we’ve seen about a quarter to a third of an inch.
Meteorologists expect an additional half inch to fall through the morning.
Chris Kuhlman is with the National Weather Service. He said storms like this are a bit unusual.
"It is on the upper end of how much moisture we can actually have at this time of year in early December," Kuhlman said. "So it’s really moist out there. The good thing is the system itself is not overly powerful.
Heavy rains and flooding are not expected. The storm is expected to move through by 11 a.m.
