OPEC hasn’t been a beloved organization — or cartel — at any point in its existence. But late last week, the head of OPEC said he’s not worried about oil prices sinking to $40 a barrel, which has also led to gas prices dropping to below $2.50 a gallon.
He said he’ll let market forces determine what’s next. What does that mean? Dennis Hoffman of the W.P. Carey School at ASU told us it’s a strategic move.
Those gas prices are also good news for school districts. Bobette Sylvester, Mesa Public Schools’ assistant superintendent for business and support services, said the district has a huge fleet, including maintenance vehicles and buses that run on both diesel and propane.
