D.C. Court To Hear Arguments In Arpaio's Challenge To Obama's Immigration Action

Oral arguments will be held Monday in a Washington, D.C. courtroom for Sheriff Joe Arpaio's challenge to President Obama’s executive action on immigration.

The president's action will grant work permits to an estimated 4 million immigrants who are in the country illegally, but Arpaio said Obama lacks the authority to take this step.

Arpaio said the action will hamper his ability to carry out his duties as sheriff.

Arizona is also challenging the president’s action in a separate lawsuit, along with more than 20 other states.
