Freeze Warning In Effect For Parts Of Western Arizona

Starting Saturday night, a hard freeze warning will go into effect for parts of Mohave County in Western Arizona.

Justin Pullin is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. He says temperatures will start to cool Friday.

"Currently, we have a very cold storm system moving through the area, right now, and will be followed by another particularly substantial system this week," Pullin said. "But, this particular shot of cold air is already filtering in through the region."

Lows could dip into the teens and low 20s. Residents are being advised to take precautionary measures to prevent damage to exposed pipes and weather-sensitive plants. In the Phoenix-area, lows are expected to be in the 30s.
