If you’re driving on Phoenix roadways in the next few months you’ll likely begin seeing billboards addressing human trafficking. The first few will be unveiled on Wednesday.
The project is part of a collaborative effort between Clear Channel Outdoor, the McCain Institute, Polaris, a nonprofit group working to fight human trafficking, and others.
The messages will be bilingual. Some of the messaging will be designed to reach victims, others will target the general public.
Officials with Clear Channel say the images used are related to human trafficking, though none will be overly graphic in nature.
