The Arizona Corporation Commission officially has two new members.
Retired United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor did the honors Monday, administering the oath of office to new Republican Commissioners Doug Little and Tom Forese.
Forese is a two-term state legislator representing the Gilbert and Chandler area while Little is a political newcomer with a background in computer software.
Also today, the commission voted to name Susan Bitter Smith chairman, for the next two years. She succeeds Bob Stump, who remains on the panel.
The five-member commission sets rates for regulated utilities, registers corporations and is responsible for ensuring the safety of railroads and pipelines.
