We followed up on the news that Clarence Carter will resign on Friday from his post as director of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security.
DES provides services for families who need assistance with, among other things, child care, food and employment. Child protective services used to fall under DES’s umbrella, until the scandal involving thousands of ignored potential child abuse cases became public. That happened under Carter’s watch.
