Arizona Sen. John McCain was named chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services Wednesday for the 114 th congress.
McCain served as ranking member on the Armed Services Committee between 2006 and 2012. He announced his first full committee hearing as chairman will be with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
McCain also serves on the Indian Affairs, Foreign Relations and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees.
