Tiger Woods will be playing in the Phoenix Open later this month. The golfer made the announcement via Twitter on Friday morning.
This is the first time Woods has played in the Valley-based tournament in almost 15 years.
Woods’ first experience in the competition is best known for a hole in one at the 16 th hole in 1997. Two subsequent appearances were made famous by spectator incidents, one of which involved an orange thrown onto the green.
The Phoenix Open begins Jan. 29.
