On Monday, Governor Doug Ducey gave his first State of the State address.
K-12 education was on the laundry list of items he talked about, including calling on the legislature to settle a lawsuit related to under funding the state’s schools. Ducey also brought up what he called a “classrooms-first initiative.”
So do Ducey’s K-12 priorities make sense? Will they improve the education system in Arizona?
We talked with Matthew Ladner, senior advisor of policy and research for the Foundation of Excellence in Education, and Andrew Morrill, president of the Arizona Education Association.
