The Valley of the Sun is a phrase associated with the Phoenix area, but many in the business community would like the term Silicon Desert to catch on. That would be an indication that the role of high-tech jobs in the area’s economy is growing.
Chris Camacho is Interim President of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, or GPEC. Camacho told us some progress has been made, but there’s more to be done.
