Border Patrol Agents have discovered a new cross-border tunnel in Nogales.

The group known as the Border Enforcement Security Task Force located the tunnel on Wednesday. The opening was discovered in Mexico but officials with the multinational team say the 239 foot passageway was not completed.

Nicole Ballistrea is with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Tucson. She said the tunnel extends 221 feet into the United States.

"This particular tunnel was unique in that we actually did find power tools. We located a ventilation hose and electrical cords," said Ballistrea.

Border patrol agents have been stationed at the site to make sure it isn’t completed.
