How Children Are Protected From Online Sexual Exploitation In Arizona And Other States

A bill introduced yesterday in the state legislature would set aside money to help children who are being sexually exploited online. The measure’s sponsor, Republican State Representative Paul Boyer of Phoenix, said Arizona’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force rescued 70 kids last year, despite being under resourced.

Boyer described the situation in Arizona, but how about the rest of the country? For that, we turn to David Finkelhor, the director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire.

I asked him if law enforcement agencies are seeing more incidents of this now than in past years.
