State Board Of Education To Possibly Change Letter Grading in Public Schools

Arizona’s public schools may go a few years without letter grades. The state Board of Education wants to look at how they’re calculated and see if that needs to be changed.

Christine Thompson, the board’s Executive Director, said the letter grades are calculated based both on statutory requirements but also how well students are doing and how much they’re improving.
