Sky Harbor is the No. 3 airport in the country when it comes to the number of guns confiscated last year. Federal agents found 78 in carry-on bags in 2014.
That’s according to a new report by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport led the nation with 120 firearms confiscated and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International was second with 109.
Last year, the Transportation Security Administration screened about 1.8 million passengers per day for a total of more than 650 million.
That's about a 2 percent increase from the year before.
