Alexis Tameron Is First Woman To Lead Arizona Democratic Party

The results of November's election did not turn out well for Arizona Democrats. Even with a slate of statewide candidates that were considered experienced and capable, the democrats were defeated in the races for governor, attorney general and secretary of state, among others.

Last weekend, the Democratic party elected a new chair and, for the first time, a woman will be leading the state party.

She is Alexis Tameron, who was chief of staff for Congressman Harry Mitchell. We talked about her goals for the party.

We also checked in with Jeremy Duda of the Arizona Capitol Times about what went on at the Republican party’s equivalent meeting.
