ADOT Makes Several Freeway Improvements Ahead Of Super Bowl

There have been plenty of changes around the Valley since the last Super Bowl in 2008. The Arizona Department of Transportation points to several projects they hope will ease traffic on Sunday as fans make their way to the University of Phoenix stadium. Doug Nintzel is with the agency.

"In addition to the 60 miles of the HOV lanes along the entire Loop 101 which adds traffic capacity, especially on a big weekend like Super Bowl weekend," Nintzel said. "But ADOT has also had major widenings of I-10 west of the Loop 101 out toward the Buckeye area and along the I-17 up to Anthem."

ADOT has also added new overhead messaging signs and more than 20 closed-circuit TV cameras in time for the game.
