Navajo County Sheriff's Office Is Making Craiglist Exchanges Safer

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is trying to make Craigslist deals safer. The Navajo County Sheriff’s Facebook page said the office is inviting people to do Craigslist transactions on its premises.

The exchanges, which originate with website postings on Craigslist.com are often between strangers. Some meet-ups have been linked to violent crimes.

For smaller items, the Sheriff’s Office is opening its lobby, but for bigger items it suggests the parking lot.

The main station is in Holbrook and its parking lot is under 24-hour video surveillance.
