What Impact The Super Bowl Had On The Valley's Economy

The NFL estimates an economic impact to the Valley from the Super Bowl of around half a billion dollars. But getting an actual calculation can be difficult.

We have two perspectives on what the big game and all the related activities will mean for the Phoenix area’s economy, starting with the Director of the Arizona Office of Tourism Sherry Henry.

Some economists, though, say the estimates from the NFL and Super Bowl Host Committee are overblown. Rob Baade is an Economics Professor at Lake Forest University in suburban Chicago and studies the economics of sport.
