With Arizona facing multi-million dollar budget deficits for the rest of this fiscal year and the next one, many areas of government are facing cuts.
Arizona’s counties have been dealing with costs being shifted from the state to them for several years and would do so again under Governor Ducey’s proposed budget.
But, Navajo County Attorney Brad Carlyon, President of the Arizona Association of Counties, said the proposal is much milder than many in county government had feared.
