Salt River Project Considers Raising Solar Costs For Customers

Salt River Project, the nonprofit utility which is not regulated by the Arizona Corporation Commission, is considering increasing costs for its customers who use solar power.

If SRP’s Board goes ahead with the changes, that could lead to it hitting its rooftop solar customers harder than other utilities in the nation. The customers would see the difference on their April bills.

SRP spokesman Scott Harelson told us about the proposal.

Tempe City Councilman Kolby Granville explained why he’s opposed.
