Life is getting a little easier for drivers looking to park in downtown Phoenix. The city is launching a pay-by-phone parking app.

"Once you’re registered, you can download the app," said Monica Hernandez with the City of Phoenix. "And when you’re ready to park you pull up to a parking space, open up your app, enter the number associated with the parking space, identify how long you plan to stay there and make the payment."

Hernandez said the app will allow users to add more time to their parking meters, even if they’re nowhere near their vehicle. The app also comes with GPS technology, just in case you forget where you parked.
