Last December, President Obama signed an Executive Order creating the Task Force on Community Policing in the effort to strengthen public trust in the wake of incidents in Ferguson, Mo. and New York City.
The Task Force has held hearings in Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati and is in Phoenix today.
We talked with ASU Criminology Professor Mike White, who said mutual trust between law enforcement and the public needs to be the central focus.
