Arizonans Enroll In The Federal Marketplace

The numbers are in on the second year of sign-ups for the Affordable Care Act. Open enrollment for the federal mark etplace has closed and Regional Administrator David Sayen said more than 204,000 Arizonans have signed up.

“We also have a substantial number of people now covered under the ACCCHS program that weren’t a year ago because of the adult expansion in that category,” Sayen said.

He added many of the people who signed up were motivated by the possibility of being fined for failing to have health insurance and three of every four Arizonans who signed up for coverage will qualify for a tax credit through the mark etplace.
