The City of Phoenix announced it will not renew its contract with the company that operates the historic carousel at the Enchanted Island Amusement Park in Encanto Park.
The city will soon start accepting bids for a new carousel operator.
The current operator has been running the carousel for the past 10 years and will be allowed to bid on the new contract.
The carousel is owned by the City and has been operating for more than 50 years.
