You may have noticed that February, in the Valley, was pretty warm. In fact it was the second-warmest February ever.
The National Weather Service says the average high last month was 77.5 degrees, or almost seven degrees above normal.
Despite that, Phoenix was more than a degree away from setting the all-time temperature record.
Even our low temperatures weren’t that low, with the average of nearly 54 degrees, the warmest ever for February.
And in addition to being a warm month, it was also a dry month. Phoenix got just 0.92 inches of precipitation in February, leaving the month tied for the 15th-driest ever.
