Winter Storms Affect Airport Travelers

The most recent winter storm to descend on the East Coast has resulted in more than 4,000 flight cancellations and long delays.

Heather Lissner at Sky Harbor said with unpredictable factors like weather, it can ruin plans. However, she advised on how to save some stress.

“Weather always has the potential to impact Phoenix flights, as well as other flights across the country. But the biggest, and best, suggestion to our travelers is to check that status with your airline,” Lissner said.

Multiple flights in and out of Sky Harbor have been canceled, many others are delayed. Most of them are originating in Dallas and Philadelphia
