Arizona House Again Passes On Vote To End Common Core Standards

The Arizona House has passed up a vote on legislation to dump the state’s Common Core education standards for the second straight day.

Common Core opponent Gina Ray believes the votes are there to pass the measure but acknowledges some lawmakers are on the fence.

“Some legislators are not as well-educated about Common Core and they don’t understand how it is fully affecting Arizona families. So right now we are educating them on that,” Ray said.

The Arizona Senate killed an effort to derail Common Core last month.

Those who want to get rid of the standards are hoping to mount another effort in the House.
