Several veteran service organizations, including Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion, say they’ll be participating in what’s being called a roundtable discussion with President Obama Friday.

Obama and VA Secretary Robert McDonald will be in Phoenix talking with VA hospital administrators.

Ron Cox, a commander with DAV, said he’d like to discuss the need for more primary care physicians at the VA.

"I’m hoping to hear some solutions," said Cox. "As big a system as the VA is, I’m hoping to hear what solutions capitol hill has."

The Phoenix VA medical center was involved in a nationwide scandal over allegations of delays in care and reporting falsified wait time data.

Obama had been criticized for not stopping by the facility while in the Valley in January.
