The judge overseeing a racial profiling case against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has called all parties to meet in his courtroom Friday afternoon. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss an upcoming civil contempt of court hearing against Arpaio and four other officers for violating court orders.
But earlier this week Arpaio and his second in command admitted they committed contempt and asked the judge to cancel the April hearing.
