Singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham had his career breakthrough when music he wrote for the Jeff Bridges film "Crazy Heart" won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy.
On his newest album "Fear and Saturday Night," Bingham draws on a painful past that includes his mother’s death as a result of alcoholism and his father’s suicide.
And though he's only 33, his voice mirrors his authentic, intimate songs. It's soft yet gritty, tough but sincere, and echoes a life hard lived.
