While some ski in the Western United States are seeing a drop in the number of skiers and closing early due to warmer weather, one
Jason Stratton with Arizona Snowbowl said they are seeing an increase in those taking to the slopes.
“This winter season, despite the record warm temperatures we saw in January and February, we’re going to project that we’re going to be up about 15% over last year, as far as skier visits,” Stratton said.
Stratton said they would have lost most of their snow, even after heavy storms in February to the warm weather if they had not laid down a layer of man made snow in November.
Snowbowl will be open for two more weekends.
